Matthew Tran was born in Bakersfield, California in 1987. He moved to Texas shortly after, and then moved to Indonesia. Four years later, he moved back to Texas, and five years after that, Delaware, where he developed an interest in photography at age 16 (2004).
He has no significant photography education and, unless having images stolen and put on the front page of pitchforkmedia.com and a half inch square image in Wire Magazine (January 2008) count, has no real achievements in the field of Photography to speak of.
Matt recently completed completed his BS in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Delaware (May 2009) and now resides in Philadelphia, PA.
